A Control Panel is a web-based user interface through which you can manage numerous aspects of your web presence. As an example, you may create or edit site files, set up and check e-mail messages, control databases, check visitor stats etc. Those things are carried out via buttons and menus within a browser and the Control Panel can also be called ‘back office’, i.e. the administration area associated with your website hosting account. Most Control Panels available will enable you to handle all hosting-related matters, but you'll normally need a different system to handle payments or to get a new domain in case the company offers domain registrations. With respect to the platform they use, you can be able to use the billing account to open a support ticket to ask a question or to diagnose an issue too, or you may need to use a third system.
